Hi friends!
Hubby and I will be in Oklahoma City for the next few days..
I am pretty sure I can talk him into making one trip to a quilt
shop. Can anyone recommend the ONE quilt shop in the city
That I just *~ must not ~* miss?
Come on Okie friends, point me in the right direction, please !?

Thanks so much,
Lori :-)

www.okquiltworks.com

I get their e-mails and they seem to have a great selection of fabrics, notions, patterns, etc. They advertise as being the largest in Oklahoma City. I have not been there, so I can't recommend based on first hand knowledge. Perhaps you will get some info from some of QB's OK quilters. Have a safe trip, and let us know which quilt shop you visit and your impressions. DH and I are suppose to visit our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren sometime this summer as soon as we can find a convenient date for all.

The Savage Quilter
6815 North May Avenue
Oklahoma City, OK 73116-3236
(405) 840-1466
You won't find a nicer person than Debbie Savage and they have a very nice selection of fabric.

Only a few miles away is Oklahoma Quiltworks and they have a nice selection as well.

A little farther north would be
Sooner Quilts
7821 South Sooner Road
Guthrie, OK 73044-7808
(405) 282-2070
They are a large store and very friendly

There is a store in downtown Guthrie called
Extra Special Fabrics
117 W. Oklahoma Ave
Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044
405-282-1144
which is also a nice shop and not that far from Sooner Quilts. They are both fairly close to I35.

If you go south there is also a nice one in Norman
Patchwork Place
900 24th Ave. NW Suite 6
Norman, OK 73069
405.321.4569
It is very close to I35 and is a nice shop.

If you want any additional information (or have time to hit more) send me a PM and I'll see if I can help.

Savage Quilter is my favorite shop. Happens to be right next to the Bernina shop too! In fact, I'll be there today about 11:00-12:00.

I love the savage quilter, they are some sweet ladies. I also enjoy OK Quiltworks, which isn't far from it. It's on Britton Road & Penn. In Cassidy Square. Just keep going north on May ave to Britton Rd then go east keep going past the 1st light, then there's a light for caution and a Jimmys Egg / Arbys on the other side of st. Turn in right after Jimmys sign and it's only about the 4th shop down on the right. It's a nice shop too. I love them both!! Sorry to hear of the sale,,I really can't buy any more fabric right now!! but i WILL get sucked in!!! I also love Patchwork Place in Norman, very nice shop.
