White on white or creams for quilt backings by the yard, preferably wide widths. I hate piecing backings!! I have no Jo Anns or quilt shops near here, and Walmart will be fazing out soon I have heard. I will be forced to do all my shopping on line then.
Also, does anyone have any scraps (no smaller than 5 inches) that they woud part with for postage?? I am in need of fabric. So hard to get as I am semi home bound and nothing but walmart and its getting low on stuff. Please IM me if you have any to spare,Thanks so much!!!

Keepsake Quilting has some 104" at $13.92/yard.
You could try Hancock's of Paducah. I don't recall their price, but I'm pretty sure they have something like you describe.
These two places may not be known for fantastic prices, but the quality is good.
did you try Whittles, Fabric.com, Quiltinaday, Thousandsofbolts, etc? The prices should be better, if they have what you are looking for.

Thousands of Bolts ranging in price from $8.95 a yard to 12.95. Here is a link to the wide backs. hope it works. The lighter colors are in the later pages. They even have batiks.

i don't know the best buy on backings RIGHT NOW, but they all have sales. watch for them.

now, one yard of fabric has 56 5" squares. if you pay postage for a few at a time, it might be better to get fats on sale for 99*. those go on online sale, at that price. the other thing you can do is start or join a swap here for the size you're looking for. say 6", 2 squares at a time.

pm with your address. i'll get you going, not for a swap, but for a starter to work with.

Try Marshalls Dry Goods. They are very reasonable.

If you will pm me I can send you some pieces (larger than 5 inches) if you can pay the postage. I have plenty to give away, just can't pay the postage any more.
