Default Good sources for cream fabrics?

I've had a disaster - I've just worked out that I don't have enough of one of my fabrics to finish a project that's been jinxed from the start - would like to abandon the whole thing, but I'm too near the end to do so now. The problem is that it's a cream, with a small squiggle pattern in white. There are so many similar ones and they're difficult to search for - I don't know where to start with locating the one I need. Does anyone know of any suppliers who are particularly good for this sort of fabric? Maybe I could scan it and contact them.

Try Rita or Maggie at Quilters Cupboard in Langley Moor Durham - Telephone: 0191 3781663 or 0191 3867007

Tell them that I recommeded you try them. I am sure they will be able to help - even if just to point you in another direction.

Or try The Fat Quarters at Blackhall Mill, Newcastle: By phone: (01207) 565728

Let me know how you get on.

have you sewn your blocks together? if not this is the time to add another cream for the other blocks...mix them up and everyone will love the 'movement' it give a quilt to have a little texture like this... check out my neighbor's backgrounds in this quilt...you don't see it right away...it's not the point, but it does add texture....i realize these are beiges, not creams, but the principle is the same...

I had purchased a bunch of cream with white (the kind where the white "lays" on the top, like a white on white) at Murray's Quilting when they had their sale in Paducah during the AQS show. At least I think that was the name of the place ... they were houses in the old factory across the street from the museum, but I can't find them under that name online.

If you post a pic here I can see if I have the one that you need. If so, I bought 5 yards of 5 different prints so I have PLENTY to share!!

'Squiggles' is a very limiting term, but if you can find a better word to describe the pattern, you should have good luck with the three major fabric search engines. With most, if you click on a shop for a fabric that looks promising, there will be many more choices from the same shop that are very similar if you scroll down.

Do you have a pic so we can see if it is in our stash?

Thanks for all the help. Yes, "squiggle" is a very vague term, but I can't think of another one for this design! Brownowl - I'll try those 2 shops after Christmas - thankyou. I know I've seen this fabric before, so I'm hoping it's a fairly standard one that I'll be able to locate, but it's difficult to see this sort of design clearly online and hard to narrow a search down. I've tried quiltshops.com, but thanks for the other links.
Unfortunately I have sewn my blocks together, and am too near the end anyway to introduce another fabric. I could change the size from 5 blocks square to 5 by 4 or 4 by 4, but it would be a bit small, even with generous borders.

Part of the reason for running out is that this project has been so jinxed, and I've remade several blocks. Plus it's paper-pieced and I've obviously not taken enough account of the waste that results in. I'm actually going to run out of 2 of the 3 fabrics, but I think I've located the other one on ebay.

Will post a photo if I can get the detail of the pattern to show up.

OK, here's a picture of the fabric I need. You see why I struggled to find a word other than squiggle to describe the design!I'm also including the othe fabric I'm running out of, which is in a range called Gemstones by Fabri quilt and is a terracota, pinky orange. I think I'e found some on Ebay, but not quite sure the colour is right -am waiting to hear from the seller.

What is the information on the selvedge of the cream fabric? Makes it much easier to search with that info.

I just did a google search of Fabri quilt Gemstones and came up with a lot of hits. Of course, I did not filter by Country, but the fabric is available.

Nothing on the selvedge of the cream fabric, unfortunately. I think I've found the Gemstones one - just waiting for a response to an email. Problem with doing these things online is that it can be a bit difficult to be sure you've got the right colour.
