Wow, I can't believe I am not alone working on hand quilting Grandmother's Flower Garden and I've been using (fell in love with) 1930s fabric! I started my project last Spring 2009, self taught. I use quilt patis from Pati herself. She sells the plastic hexagon templates which are wonderful! I have really been enjoying this project - I know it takes years to do but I will keep going! The quilt patis are well worth the investment and not too costly. Here is Pati's info:
