Default Gratitude-Why do you appreciate Quilting Board?

They say that gratitude precedes prosperity and without prosperity, the size of my stash suffers!!
I wanted to take a minute to thank all of you here on this board for the free sharing of information on products and techniques and sources. I've received the equivalent of a PhD by reading the posts.

For days now, I've been searching on You Tube for a quilt video I wanted to make. I lost it after a late Saturday night's browsing and had to do a system restore on my computer, which took out my history. This morning, in reading a new post, I went to one of the suggested links and found the thread that took me to the lost video. Thank you!!

I got to thinking about all the good things I've gotten from this board and so far, my favorites include: pinmoors, Triangulation software (oh the joy!), the June Tailor ruler (make my own jelly rolls), Bailey's longarm quilting machines (in the dream category.)

What have you found that has made your life, as a quilter sooo much better by finding it on this board?

I appreciate that the QB is one of the last truly kind, civil places on the internet. So many nice people here and hardly any grumps!!

Inspiration, information. I love all the wonderful ideas and brilliant minds here. I have learned so much about sewing machines here. Before, I just used them and even got rid of one when it wasn't working the way I wanted it to. Now, I adopt these abandoned machines, clean them up and get amazing satisfaction of taking something that was neglected and unused and turning it into a useful, even beautiful machine.

Thank you for starting this thread. I have learned so many things on this board that I couldn't list them all. But, for me, the most important (and wonderful) thing I have found is the generosity. It is so nice to visit a place where people are always willing to help and share. Whether it be information, hugs, prayers, pats on the back, or even sharing of real items it soothes my soul and makes my heart smile.

Besides the wealth of information, tips, encouragement, inspiration, and fellowship, I have become friends with several members....one in a nearby town. The moderators are to be commended on how generous they are with their time and help. Everyone seems to be so willing to share their knowledge and experience. The day I discovered the QuiltingBoard was one of the best days of my life.

The inspiration I get from seeing all the beautiful projects is my favorite. I can't wait every morning to get my coffee made and sit down to read the Quilt Board. I have a long list of quilts I want to make from seeing yours on here. I also get inspiration to get UFO's finished from you. Thanks to all of you for your sharing of information and kindness. This is a great community!

I am so thankful for this Board because I am just on my first quilt and because of everything I am learning on here, it is making it seem so easy.
People cannot believe that this is my first quilt.
Thanks to all of you and the ones that started this Board.
