Help! So many sewing/quilting yahoo groups, I can't remember if you wonderful ladies were discussing the green pens for marking quilts or if it was one of my other groups. Some one said they purchased them some years ago and we were hoping the formula was the same....so that they wash out of fabric really well. What was the band name? I went to Office Depot yesterday and they only had permanent green markers and pens. They don't carry Pilot pens anymore....please post if you know the brand that washes out.
Thank you so much

I use the blue one that I get from Joanns or Hancocks. You just rinse under water . Is that the type you were looking for ?

I'll jump in here although I've never done this but do recall reading about it. Try the washable crayola markes.
Try on a scrap first and make sure it will wash out before you use it on your quilt.

Are you referring to mechanical pencils? My LQS swears by Sewline fabric pencils. I bought some but haven't used it yet. They come in different colors. I happen to have green...

I used the green Sewline pencil on my quilt I just finished, washed it, and it did not come out. Why? I do not know,
but it didn't.

I use jell ink pens and the ink washes out. They come in many bright colors.

Pilot Frixton pens are the best!. I use them for drawing quilt patterns. If I make an error on my drawing I just touch it with the point tip of my warm iron and it disappears and I can make another mark. People say cold cold brings the color back but since I don't keep my quilts in cold I don't worry. If you decided to try them, don't get the very fine, get the fine cause the very fine are too sharp and don't mark well.
