Our Guild has a service project each year. One year we donated quilts to the pregnancy center, another year it was placemats to Meals on Wheels. This year it was voted to donate to some form of Military. I'm required to find an organization that will accept and deliver quilts to our soldiers. I'd love some suggestions that have worked for you or your guild. Thanks so much

Soldier's Angels...they have a great website. My added 2 cents is also make a cash donation to aide in covering shipping costs. If I remember correctly, a donation of $10 will ship 100 pounds...that is if I remember correctly.

Do you have a base near by or a guard unit? Contact the base sergeant major or their family assistance program coordinator.

Our guild makes "American Hero" quilts. The quilts go to injured soldiers in VA hospitals. You can find more info on their website. Just google American Hero quilts.

Perhaps try contacting a local unit, if none, try Soldier's Angels, Quilts of Valor, or American Hero Quilts. Lots of groups out there.
Each may have different "requirements" for quilts made, so checking will help too.
Kudos for your group doing this! There is always a great need. And remembering those who have served our country is the best!
