I am curious about this also. I have a machine that the bobbin winder won't work. I haven't done anything about it because I can wind these bobbins on another machine with the same bobbins. It is just kind of a pain in the you know what...

A friend just had this happen, and something was not set right. And for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. Go back and check everything, just like you were rethreading, but check every nob, lever, etc

Make sure you have pushed the bobbin far enough in to start the winding. Just the other day I thought mine was all the way in, and it wasn't. Also check that the thread can flow freely. Had that happen before too.

The machine running just fine. No strange noises. The spool on the bobbin winder froze. Very stiff to turn. This machine dosn't use oil.
