Was going to bail him out with next SS check, but my DC in Canada texted me yesterday just saying, "Surprise!"
While I was looking at that and wondering what she meant, the land line phone rang and the salesperson from the sewing center advised me that my DC had made the final payment and GQ could come home!

Got him home to find no foot pedal, but my luck still holds - the one from my Brother fits perfectly! So I was able to get a straight stitch plate and a bit of fabric!

Sorry to rush off, but you understand.....

Me, not be on the board? Surely you jest! Won't be using it today anyway. It was the power cord I could use, but not a foot pedal and its 45 mins away! I have Nana duties for the rest of this day.

Surprised I cannot find a push button stop/go like my cheapo Brother has as an alternate - like pedal better anyway.
Only other problem - Bobbins won' fit Sidewinder and who can afford the new enhanced model?

But thanks, I will have a blast!

Finally today I got to wind a bobbin and sew a seam!! First thing to sew? It's own cover out of Batiks!

Was a comedy (yeah, sure) of errors. When I told them by phone that the power cord and foot pedal were missing I said I'd be down this am to get them....and I was. To find that they'd had another store send them to me UPS overnight! The gal phoned to make sure they'd made the UPS pick-up to find that it was sent......to someone else!!

So she gave me hers from the demo for now!

Good news on Sidewinder - I checked at the Fabric Depot for a different bobbin winder, but neither I or the saleslady could get the box open to check it! Decided to check their portable Sidewinders (which is exactly what I had) and Lo and Hark the bobbin fits! Maybe they pared down the spindle or something.

So NOW I'm happy!
