I was at Fabric Depot today and found a cushion seat called Gypsy Sit Upon. It was pricey, I thought, at nearly $30 but the idea intrigued me because I have been having hip and back problems recently, probably due to the many hours I spend sitting at the computer and sewing machine. Haven't experienced them personally. I did notice that Stitchin' Heaven has them on sale now. I already had another brand in my amazon wish list.

I'm interested and would love to hear quilter reviews. Did read the J-Fit reviews on amazon.

I have one. I do not like it. It does not fit my behind the way I would like it to. If I use it very much my leg will start to hurt. Please get other peoples input. My grandchildren like to play with it, so it was not a total loss of money. :roll:

I wouldn't like the bumpy texture. Maybe check out a Medical Supply store, some larger pharmacies have these sections. I wonder if you couldn't find them there in different sizes, and ones that you can fill with the amount of air that would be comfortable for each individual?

I love mine! I guess my tush isn't sensitive enough to feel the bumps though. Ha! It has improved my posture while sewing and I noticed it the first two hours I used it. I do put a towel over it to keep it in place. Had problems of it moving back in my chair. Hope this helps in some small way.

The bumps are to stimulate blood flow in your rear. My BFF uses one ever since her hip replacement. She thinks its the greatest, she wore out the first one watching TV and she has one for her computer chair and for her sewing chair.

If the bumpy texture is to permit airflow it wouldn't work for me. Once my large derriere puddled out over the edges it would pretty much seal off any air flow. Now if they want to make one in a Wide Load version......

Amen, sister. I sew in an old windsor chair, and wedge a full sized bed pillow in it. (A wide load, and SHORT, so the pillow brings me to a better height.)

I have one, and really like it. It helps so that my tailbone doesn't hurt if I sit for a long time. As a bonus - I've also used it as a foot cushion when my feet really hurt. The little bumps massage the bottom of your feet while the air cushions them.
