While doing errands today, i happened to come across this little shop that i never noticed before. It was call Craft Bits & Pieces. Thank goodness i decided to go in and see what was in there. It is full of all kinds of crafting stuff and is run by volunteers and all the proceeds go to the Seniors in the town. All the merchandise is donated and repackaged.......dirt cheap!!!
I picked up 4 brand new spool of thread for 1.00, 5 yds of white muslin for 2.50, 6 skein package of yellow yarn for 2.75,
3 bags of mountain mist batting -queen size for 2.00 ea. and misc one yard pieces of quilting fabric for 1.25
I can't wait to go back there! I just had to tell someone!!!!!!

What town was this in? I have relatives in the Upstate area and they would go and since they would know where it was, they could take me the next time I visit them!

What a find!!!! Lucky you! It always makes me feel good to hear about other's bargains. I got some BEAUTIFUL batik fats at Goodwill, 4 for 72 cents. Got some other fabric there too, 72 cents a yard. Yesterday I bought a bike rack that will hold 3 bikes on the back of the car. Still had the original price of $94.99 on it but Goodwill's price was $4.96. With my Wednesday Senior discount it was $3.72! Ya gotta love a bargain!

I live in Rochester, NY and we have a Bits and Pieces in Fairport, NY. I have been to the shop many times. It's wonderful...only open selected hours but full of shoppers each time I visit. I belong to a quilt ministry who gets their fabrics from donations and whenever we receive fabric that is unuseable for quilting I package it up and donate it at the store...Ok so while I'm in there, I always buy something else to bring home....I can't resist and it goes to a good cause.
