I've been buying old, all wool blankets at estate sales and I want to use one for batting, but I haven't gotten around to it. They are light weight, they've been washed, so they shouldn't shrink. I can't wait til I have time to quilt something for myself so I can try it!

I know this sounds like a crazy question, but is the wool batting too warm for Texas weather? Thank you.
