I didn't intend to hand quilt ever again, but never say never. Since DH is in the hospital & I had to have something to do while I"m sitting with him (he sleeps a lot) I'm hand quilting a Halloween table runner, I also have a throw sized Halloween quilt to do. I'll finish the table runner by the end of the week, I thought I'd forgotten how to hand quilt, but, like riding a bike, you don't forget. Perhaps this is a good time to practice making those stitches smaller. Hope he gets out by the weekend, August is too hot to have a big project sitting in my lap to quilt. Just my thoughts.

Sorry to hear that the DH is in the hospital..... but it's a good time to re-learn something that you had put aside. I always try to have a project that I can pickup and go. I hate just sitting waiting for an appointment or to have the oil changed or whatever. Applique is usually the project I choose but handquilting is a great one, too.
