I only use Warm and Natural, so really do not know about others. I sometimes have to use a needle puller to get the needle through, but I have always equated that to the fact that I am going through seam allowances. I recently started using a smaller needle, and have not had to resort to the puller as much.

I've only ever hand quilted warm & natural. I don't find it particularly difficult but maybe that's just because I don't know any better! Since I have a roll of this stuff, I think it will be a while before I try something different. For everyday quilts I would probably try Quilter's Dream cotton as I do like the 'hand' of that batt. If it were something incredibly special just for me, I'd be really tempted to go with silk.
