My boyfriend bought a subscription to Fons & Porter quilt magazine for me. Received my first issue yesterday. Wow was I disappointed!! Looked thru the whole magazine and did not see one quilt that I liked. Nothing in the magazine that was interesting. I don't think it was me as I love to read quilt magazines and books. Does anyone else feel this way about their magazine?

I subscribe to many of them and read them when they come in from cover to cover. Sometimes, no projects I am interested in but then again I learn something new by reading the articles. So I turn a disappointment into good thing by finding something in it that I liked. Hate to waste money. LOL Nice gift from your fella too.

I kept them for a year and then got rid of them. They are ok but I just love McCalls Quick Quilts. I have been getting them for years. You should pick one up and check them out. It's great

I wonder what is happening to the quilt magazines for I had ordered "Quilt" and just received my first issue. It was a real disappointment. So few pages and nothing of interest. Feel like canceling my subscribtion if that is all I will be receiving.

I'm not wild about the magazine. I stopped buying it.

A few years ago, F&P used to be my favorite quilting magazine. I loved almost every project they offered. But I have to agree that in the last year or two, they've gone downhill. I just don't find the quilts all that pretty or interesting. My new favorite is Quilter's World. I have an online subcription with them that I just love.

I get Quilters World and my DD gets F&P. I personally like QW better but I can usually learn something from each mag.

I subscribed for five years but dropped it this year. I agree with you--just not much in there. In addition, I can find so much online now so why spend the money if I don't have to. I subscribe to McCall's Quick Quilts and really like it, although I have not decided whether to renew when it comes due.

I dropped my 2 magazines - F&P and McCall's last year. Not in the budget, but I did see a few good tips and patterns in them some months.
