Question Should I trade in my Bernina 440QE?

I have been looking at the new Bernina 7 series machines and a local quilt shop has a trade-in special now. Has anyone used the Bernina 750QE? What do you think of it? I know it has a much longer throat than my 440 and the dual feed system. I am torn- I love this machine but this seems like a reasonable price to trade up. I would need to purchase the embroidery module on top. Anyone know how much that would be? This would not be a small expenditure and I don't want to make a mistake. I still have my beloved Bernina 830 Record, several Featherweights and my Tin Lizzie. Why oh why do they go and make these new machines, just to make us question what we already own! LOL.

I saw the same deal and it is tempting! I am going to ask the price of the 750 next week. I bet it is over $5000 and that is just not in my budget right now even with the money off for my 440.

It is $3800 plus you get a B330 at no charge- nice for a portable machine. I don't need that small machine though.

I think this is province-wide backed by Bernina. I know there have been quite a few considering it here through our LQS. I may be wrong but I think on the flip side, they are offering the 440 trade-ins for sale for about $1500.

Dang, that's even more tempting! Maybe I'll test drive one next weekend.

I have the 750QE and I just love it. I don't embroider and don't have the embroidery unit, but would like to get it sometime in the future. Can't tell you about Canadian pricing, but here in the US I paid around $4500 for just the machine and the included BSR. My dealer told me the embroidery unit was another $1500 US. I think each dealer is different too. Just be forewarned, they are on backorder and it may take several months for you to get it unless your dealer happens to have one in stock. I waited almost 2 months and that was after the dealer had waited for 3 months before that. I was just lucky to be the first one to purchase one from him.
