    I dread the thought of how much time it will take to hand quilt so I'm going to give FMQ a try. If I'm any good at it, I'll probably stay with machine quilting.

    Nothing is as nice as a hand quilted quilt. JMHO With that being said, I just don't have the time. If I want to get half of the quilts off my Bucket List, machine quilting is the only way to go. I have hand quilted a couple of baby quilts for my grandchildren that I may have in the future. You have stated the merits of hand versus machine accurately.
