How nice of your husband. $149 was a lot of money back in 1949. Or was that the price your DH paid?

My husband bought one for me a few years ago. I just love having it, and it makes a beautiful stitch. Yours sounds like a great buy with the receipt and all. Enjoy sewing on it.

Congratulations on your new baby. How amazing is it to find the original receipt with the machine. Nice.

QuiltsrFun that was the original price. Love having that receipt. Hubby paid 3 times that.

Nice piece of history having the receipt and knowing the price in 1949.
