Default Has anyone done a Dear Jane quilt?

I have purchased the book about the Dear Jane quilt and had a long time interest in miniatures. I am thinking about fabrics and was wondering if anyone has done or is working on a Dear Jane quilt and what colors you have used.

If you type "Dear Jane" in the advanced search at the top right corner it will bring you to a lot of threads and post on the wonderful Dear Jane quilt.

I made twin size one and here it is....

I began one a few years back; I used repro fabrics from Jane's era.
You might take a look at the Janiac site on the web; you'll see hundred of approaches.

NYGal - that is a beauty

you can join the current sew along http://www.quiltingboard.com/blocks-...n-t175669.html
yes, you'd start behind, but so many participants are behind for various reasons that it wouldn't matter

I think there are at least two members here currently working on Dear Janes who post their progress regularly. Check out the pictures forum.

edited: oops, looks like QuiltnNan gave you better information ;-)

I made one; finished except scallops and binding. I'd say get the software to go with the book. I couldn't have done it without classes and a good teacher. I chose to do mine scrappy; just used what I liked.

I'm using civil war type fabrics for mine. Please go to my post from yesterday! Also Google "Dear Jane" for images and see so many different fabrics being used. Most of all have fun!

Use what ever fabric you like otherwise you probably won't be happy with the quilt and this is a lot of work. I had never thought this was a quilt for me until recently I saw one done in brights and just loved it.
