Will just have to remember not to take the iron to them! I think any lightweight non-fusible stabilizer would work, but in my old age I am trying to avoid the step of cutting out all the squares myself.

Will you be able to run these through your printer? I want to do a paper piecing project, but also hate dealing with paper. But running anything through my printer other than just paper makes me a bit anxious.

I used Pellon 830 for a string quilt foundation and found the finished quilt to be a bit stiff. I'm sure it will soften up with washings. Donated it to Project Linus. It was real pretty with black as the center on rectangle blocks--so it made X's through the quilt.

Will do! I should have specified in my title that it is string piecing that I am looking at doing with a foundation, not paper piecing.

You can use freezer paper for that. The log cabin blocks I'm doing now have logs just a little over 1/4 inch. You will be able to remove the freezer paper instead of having a product remain in the blocks.

oops the Stable Stuff doesn't wash away, it turns to very thin poly fabric when wet. No paper to pull out. I have so many paper piecing products I get confused what does what.
