Has anyone else started a project only to discover that you were short black fabric???

That happened to me this afternoon but my DH came to the rescue.

He called me on his way home from work and asked me if I needed anything and when I said that I did not have the fabric I needed for a project he offered to stop and buy it for me :-)

I just wanted to brag on him :-)

What a sweetheart!

Sometimes when DH is starting on his way home and he knows I am already there, he might ask if I need anything...and yes...he has even picked up quilting supplies.

I think we both have keepers!

My DH is so good too. I am doing at least 3-4 things a week with other quilters and always quiltnig at home. He is so sweet to allow me all this time. Neither of us works now. I keep him in lumber so he can work in his shop.LOL. He is defintely a keeper. You are lucky to find matching black. Here lately there are so many shades.

That was a wonderful thing to do. So thoughtful. I nearly always need to make a trip to the fabric store before finishing a quilt. I'm always short of something.

I learned that it is very hard to match black fabric. Almost impossible if you don't buy the exact brand off the same bolt. Good luck!
