Funny you should mention this...was thinking of using a crumb quilt top to recover an old piece of sectional from the 50's that belonged to my parents. Keep us posted on your ottoman!

yup, works great! you could also use a zippered cushion cover if the cushion comes off. if it doesn't, you could still sew elastic around it to hold it on {sort of like how a yoyo is made}
