Oh that pattern looks so nice Bev! Would be so easy to do it without a pattern too. Cut 2 1/2" strips to make the centre checkered block, and then surround with 2 1/2" border strips, should make a finished 8" block, and the alternate blocks would be 8 1/2" squares, finished to 8" s too :)

I made this for a double bed for my Mom for Christmas. Jackie quilted it for me. It went together like a dream!
