I was wondering if any of you made a Jar Quilt before.
I am wanting to make one, and don't know what kind of color to make the ring out of. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Deby

What other colors are you using? If go to Google, click on images then type jar quilt in the search, you will get many pictures to help you.

Hi:

I have made two of them and I found some gray material with a little bit of darker gray print in it and it worked great. Looks like the old fasioned fruit jars that have the one piece gray lids.

Do you have a pattern. I have found a really good one on the internet that was free if you would care for it send me a private message.

Keep quilting

I saw an adorable jar quilt that used fabric of 'bugs'. Each jar had insects, ants, dragonflys, ladybugs, etc. There are lots of cute theme fabrics available. The top of the jars were just plain black which accented the colorful jars. There are cute "fruit" fabrics in the summer too that would make an interesting theme jar quilt. S.

Your wall quilt is "way cool" as my 5 year old gs would say. I have seen these fabrics and the colors are so vibrant.

I found a great gray fabric with darker gray specks in it. Looked just like the old canning lids. I did several pot holders with these on them.

One of the gals in the Monthly Bee Block swap is doing her blocks all as jars.
