    I am thinking of buying the pattern and was wondering if any of you had made these?

    Do you think it is made from prairie points glued to a Styrofoam cone???

    Would you make the prairie points, attach them to a ribbon or strip and wind them around the tree?

    Styrofoam cone, praire points attached with little half size pins and a ribbon rosette on top the beads are glued on the end of the points,

    Prairie points can be made from a single strip of fabric. I would guess that is how the tree is made (rather than from individual prairie points). Here is a link to instructions on making the points from a strip:

    Edit: Or, maybe not. Taking a closer look at the photo, it looks like all the points line up. You would probably need to make individual prairie points and pin them to a styrofoam cone to get that effect. Here is a link to a tutorial on making separate prairie points from a strip of fabric:

    I think this tree is made like the folded ornaments......you cut squares of fabric, fold to make a point and pin to the styrofoam tree. It is a darling tree! Will probably use 500 or more pins.
