Default Has anyone used Magni-Ficent Quilt hanging system?

They're on sale at Connecting Threads - 40% off, but still pricey. Before I buy one, I'd really like to know if anyone has already tried them. The description says it's 5 powerful magnets held to the wall with adhesive. You provide the metal rod in the quilt sleeve.

The one that hangs sizes up to a king size quilt is $33, regularly $55; for 10 to 20 inch quilt is $10, regularly $35.

That's pretty pricey for a hanger that isn't going to show. I can understand paying a lot for a beautiful wood rack, but I don't understand why this one would cost so much, and you have to have a sleeve on the quilt and provide your own metal rod too. I know you can buy powerful magnets very cheaply at Harbor Freight. I would also like to hear from anyone who has tried them.

I have one on the wall in a spare room and on the entry hall wall. I can change a wallhanging in a minute. Size changes are no problem since the rod expands and contracts to fit the wallhanging. I also like the fact that the command adhesive strips do not put a hole in the wall.

I think I would find some magnets and use the command strips on them with a metal bar. That is all that these things are. Saw them at the quilt festival in January and immediately thought of my own way....

I use the Command large hooks and use a curtain rod to hang my wall hangings.
