----bobbin washers and if so, did they help alleviate back lash? Am having some problems with that at times and thought they might help. Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanx. Marge L.

DH says they do help. Bobbin cases also have springs.

I didn't think they helped much. I've got a drop in bobbin though, and it is contoured, so probably not much of it is coming in contact with the bobbin washer.

When I first read - bobbin washer - I had the image of golf ball washer for bobbins. I have never used them.

I cut a piece of parchment paper and put in my bobbin case, I lightly oil it before putting in, seems to work for me. One piece lasts a long time before having to use another.

Doesn't the oil hurt a computerize machine?

I have some bobbin washer and they didn't seem to do anything. I assume My bobbin works just fine.

Why would it hurt the machine if it is inside the bobbin case?
