Default Has anyone used this thread?

Shoppers' Rule is having a sale on this thread:
"Premium Select - Perfect Solutions Soft Antique 100% polyester sewing & embroidery thread. 120/2 denier, 40 wt. 288 filaments (very strong for high speed sewing and quilting as well as embroidering). Has the Look and feel of cotton thread with soft and rich texture. Colorfast 3000 meter spool."
I would like to know if anyone has used it and how you like it. It has a good price if its any good. I want to use it for piecing and fmq. Any opinions would help me dicide if I want to buy some.

Thanks
Linda

I've ordered from Shopper's Rule before and have been pleased with their products. I haven't used this thread but at that low price it is worth trying.

I have never purchased thru them but I prefer to use cotton thread anyway. Try Connecting Threads, they are having a sale on thread too. I ordered two bundle packs of thread from them and I love it. The thread has a long staple and not much lint. No problems

Linda, I saw the ad also. I've never used it, but the description sounds good. Especially the part about being strong for high speed sewing. I prefer polyester over cotton on my long arm quilt machine. I ordered several spools to experiment with. At that price, I couldn't resist.

I read on a blog where the LAer only uses polyester when quilting. She said she was having trouble with lint build up with cotton thread so she changed to polyester and loves it. Loves everything about it. Just a thought.

I've been using this thread for some time now and am very happy with it. I don't use it exclusively but I have about 44 mini spools (1000 m) with six more for Sea/Sky on the way. I just received five Soft Antique 3000 mt
spools today for different skin tones. I don't have any trouble with the thread linting or breaking and the colors are bright which is what I was after. Keep an eye on Shoppers Rule as they have some great specials.
I've been dealing with Shoppers Rule for a few years now. Postage takes a while for overseas but the money I save makes it worthwhile. My embroidery machine is a Janome 10000 and it's not picky about thread but it hates black no matter which brand I use even RA but I bought a 5500 yd spool of RA poly from Shoppers Rule and don't have a problem any more.
Go ahead and save yourself some money for more fabric.

I haven't used that one but I do use polyester when I quilt with my Lizzie, Large Marge. I use Glide and won't put anything else in my machine ever since using it. I used to use Connecting Threads but the lint drove me absolutely bonkers. After switching to Glide, quilting is a wonderful experience.. no lintballs being coughed up or getting in the way and causing havoc. It's sweet.

I'd say if you can get a spool, try it out. I called Glide to see if I could order just one spool to try it out and they sent me a big sample of it and their magna bobbins (www.BobbinCentral.com) I wonder if this company would do the same thing for you to try it out before you buy?

Yes and it is great. I made a few things with the Paprika, and now I wished I had purchased more, they don't have it anymore and can't find that brand any where else. I have a facebook page under Nancy Garlets, look at the mask I did. One was on black and one was on Canvas. The Paprika thread is what I used. Works well never breaks, unlike other brands.

They had a deal not to long ago that the 5000 spools were 98 cent, great deal, so I purchase a few, not that I needed any more thread.
