Default Has this happened to you?

I am finishing up a quilt and wondering why on earth I picked this unattractive fabric!

I think we have all done that. I would like to see the quilt. I am sure that it isn't as bad as you think. Someone will love it. Come on show us. BrendaK

I've thought that too at times, but just finish it up and you'll probably like it after it's all together and quilted. It's better than stopping and having a UFO!

Oh, sometimes when finished it looks better than you think....also there is a time for almost every quilt for me that I wonder what in the world was I thinking to do this???? Then I trudge through that stage and always love the finished project. .. well, almost always. The ones I don't love are great inthe back seat of the car for my dogs to rest on while tethered on trips or I give to someone who is NOT a quilter.....!!!

I have been wondering that as I work on my current quilt top. What was I thinking?

You've just been looking at it too long. Finish it up, hide it for a week or so, then take another look! It will be fine.

I help run the Fat Quarter raffle at my guild and for October, our theme is "OMG...why did I ever buy this ugly fabric?" We are also having a trunk show (Cobblestone Quilts of Townsend, MA presenting) of quilts made with "uglies"

I always like the fabric for my quilt top. It is the fabric that I selected for the borders that I sometimes dislike. Since I give the quilts away, I don't have to look at those borders.

It may be ugly to you, but may not be ugly to others.
