a few years ago my mother gave me a fabric panel with WWII planes on it, I guess she was going to make a quillow out of it. Well my 10yr old son saw it and loved it, I however did not. Last week he was sick and I felt so bad for him that I started on this panel and decided it wouldn't look right if I just quilted the panel as a whole, so I chopped it up to make something really cool. I have been fighting with thing non-stop, I cant even get the binding to go on right and I am good at binding. The thing needs to go in the trash. Thanks for letting me vent. I'll post a picture when its finally done or I will have my DH post my obituary it depends on who wins this battle.

Yes, I have been there!! I started a quilt six years ago, well I have learned a lot since then, so now I know all of the mistakes in it. My daughter says it's beautiful, but I know that love it blind, and I am so unhappy with it. So it sits. . . .
I wish you the best of luck! Win the battle! You can do it!!

Yes, OH YES!! The one I'm working on now. I finally had the front in 3 pieces, after fighting with each of them. I swear on my honor that each and every seam in this @#$% lap quilt has been ripped and sewn at least 3 times (I"m now on my way to buy a half dozen seam rippers, I've hurled all of mine across the room and can't find any now, and one is needed..again) and the last edging on each one I just sewed together. Looked nice, till I put it beside the other two and discovered that AGAIN I'd not accurately measured all the edgings. The one I just firmly sewed on is 3/4 of an inch at least larger than any of the others...
This is one that my sister loves, and is giving me encouragement from her long distance phone. She is a love, though I'm not too sure she's ever sewed on a button....maybe I can pretend that I was adopted and just found my real family who are nudists and live in a hot country so never need nor understand quilts.
