Default Have you ever not wanted to cut into fabric?

In the past I've bought fabric because I like the fabric, not for a specific project in mind. Now I've found a few projects I would like to try, and have started going through my small fabric collection, and while I often find a fabric I think would look good with that project, I've pulled it out ironed it, and before I could go to cut it, I find I can't bring myself to do so. I keep thinking, what if I find a better project for this fabric. I also get my fabric at discount stores or on clearance, so once it's gone it's unlikely that I will ever find it again.

Does this happen to anyone else, and how do you deal with this issue?

If I really like the fabric and think I might like to use it on various projects. I have purchased up to 4 yards. Hancocks sale is still going on and I will be heading over there today or tomorrow. I usually purchase at least 10 yards or more when there is a good sale and sometimes more.

If it is perfect for your project, then use it. Fabric collections come and go so quickly that if you wait too long and need more, good luck. If you save your fabric too long your taste may change or the fabric may look outdated when you go to use it.

It is not a crime or a sin to NOT use your fabric - (unless you went into debt or something to obtain it!)

I've got two fat quarter bundles that Fall into that category. I keep looking for just the right pattern. Have found several but can't narrow it down. So they're still bundled up on the shelf.

Guilty! But when you get ready to incorporate this into a fabric, you will be so glad that you did.

I finally found the quilt pattern I want to use for my 13 year old butterly fabric. On our PBS station, Mary Fons and her mom did "Circles for Paige" I've been looking for a pattern to show off my beautiful fabric-------and this quilt using the material fo the largest circle is ideal. I've got quite a few butterfly fabrics, but eh 13 year old fabric is the most beautiful
