Default Have you ever seen a SCRAPPY French Braid quilt???

am wanting to use up lots of my scraps for motor home quilt. I just can't WRAP this around my head....HOW will it look?? If I keep all the center "diamonds" the same color/pattern, will it work.....?? any of you with design programs game for a "look see" ????? Thanks in advance! BTQ

Try Bonnie Hunter's website. I think I saw a scrappy braid quilt there. Personally, I can't see any reason why you couldn't do it. I think it would look great scrappy.

I think you could do it, if you are careful with placement of your scraps. Work with value to create your fabric runs. I don't know how to create a French braid in EQ. It might help to look at a picture of a French braid quilt in shades of grey rather than color, and think about creating it with scraps of the same value that way.

this is lovely but i do think i would like the version with the consistent diamonds down the center, too.... thanks for sharing...i really love this look...

Quilter's Cache has a scrappy braid pattern. It will look beautiful, I'm sure.

Border Creek Station patterns used a scrappy braid for a border on their The Gathering quilt pattern.
You could check it out for inspiration.
