Smile binding like VB does on placemats

Does anyone know how to do binding like VB does on her placemats? She uses a separate fabric and there is a seam at the edge of placemat and then it is folded to front and stitch down by machine with mitered corners.

Are you referring to Vera Bradley? Did you do a search on the forum here for bindings, I think you may be able to find a tutorial that would help you out.

If I read your original correctly.....then.....a quilter named Anita Murphy wrote a book several years ago that had directions for doing the kind of binding you describe. I don't recall the name of the book and know I don't have it but do remember her.

I seem to recall that some one - an educator perhaps - from Bernina had directions for such a binding.
    You might try their site.

Is VB Vera Bradley? We are trying to answer something we are not sure of.
If it is Vera Bradley then where did you see the placements. Need some direction for searching out the actual technique you are looking for so we will know if the advice is appropriate.
