Or made one for that purpose?

Let's face it... you would be changing a tablecloth a lot more than you would a bed quilt. More opportunity to include the fabrics you love in your daily life!

Yes I made one several years ago to fit our diningroom table.
It is (neutrals) biege, tan ivory, etc. I really like it
but you have to be careful with a small light weight glass
as the cloth is heavier than what people are used to.
When I learn to post pictures, I'll put it up for you
to see.

I purchased several old quilt tops at IQS many years ago and that is what they are used for to this day.

Yes I do. I really didnt need anymore big quilts but wanted to keep quilting so I started making tablecloths/runners/placemats/wallhangings, anything to keep me in the loop.
Most of the tablecloths are seasonal.

We use them on the picnic table out on the deck all the time when we entertain out there in the summer. Makes me feel like one of the Waltons sometimes.

yes. some have made just for the table. I use a large piece of heavy plastic that you buy off the bolt at the fabric store over the top so if something is spilled won't stain it.

I have several and use them all the time. They look great, protect the table well and can be changed around with the seasons too! Did I mention they are fun to make>
