Looking for info on making little pillows for premeties that past at birth.

A sister in law wants to start making these to give them at the hospital for the families of these premeties.

Can anyone tell me how they make them and what to embroidery on them?

We have a local group who wrote into our newspaper to tell about making burial gowns from wedding gowns. I think they called it Angel Babies..that might be a heartbreakingly accurate name to put on a pillow also. And an embroidered Angel watching over it's head. That might set the grieving parents' hearts to healing.

You should go to your local hospital and speak to the NICU staff (Nurses or whatever) My oldest Grandson was in the NICU wen he was born for several months - and while we were there several babies passed I saw these lovely memory boxes they made for the family that included photos and such too (If the family was there we had to leave usually) but a couple of times no one was there, they putt up a screen and took great care preparing the infant and such I am sure they will have ideas o f what to make...

We were lucky Jacob is now 9 and very healthy!

Take a look at the Newborns In Need site. We not only make garments and blankets for premies and newborns, but burial outfits and momentums. Lots of great patterns and ideas...
