I've never embroidered before, and I'll be taking a class to learn how to do this in April. I also have ordered a pattern from Crabapple Hill. If you've worked with the stitchery involved in their patterns, do you have any good advice for me? I'm very intimidated, but I think I really want to try this.

I like Crabapple hill patterns. Easy to follow, full size and good directions. i just bought Heirloom Romance from there but havent started it yet. I have bought patters for towels etc. and really like doing them.
I have no tips or ideas but I don't think you will have any problems.

I'm working on the Winter Wonderland quilt from that site, have the top together & am hand quilting. I found her directions to be good, however in this particular pattern she has you start with very large pieces & then trim down later (I hate wasting fabrics and some of them are a chunk of about 2"x 22") That said, I really LOVE the patterns.

No advice, but I'm sure you won't have a problem:)

I have been admiring that Winter Wonderland pattern. I keep saying I'll get it someday. I probably ought to do that soon:)

I am also working on 'Winter Wonderland' and will be doing 'Over the hill to grandmother's house' next. I love her stuff! They are cute and very easy. Don't be intimidated. You will love this and find it very relaxing!! I was a lucky dawg for a quilt shop closed in my area and put all her patterns cheap-cheap! So, have more to do too!!:)I like to travel w/them too. What is great in stitchery, you can leave it if life gets crazy then go back to it, and pick it right back up again. You will love it too! Don't forget to check out her site....great drooling potential:)Skeat

checked the site out- nice patterns. My hands are sore right now from a quilt I'm embroidering. I have a great admiration for those of you who undertake these patterns.
