If using purchased jelly rolls, this can be an expensive quilt top. However, it's a great stash buster quilt top. One good thing is all those scraps you thought were ugly, when cut and sewn into narrow strips like this seen not to be so ugly afterall.

I have made a zillion of these for Project Linus quilts, in all sizes......I have tried a variety of width, from 1 1/2 wide up to 3 1/2 wide........I have used up a ton of scraps this way.......just comes out whatever length the scrap gives me......I have done it with all baby prints, with all solids, with various fabrics all pink, all blue, etc.....the last one I did, I used every other row a solid color......they all come out giving you a surprise......a couple of things to do tho.......if you are using more than one strip of a single print fabric, place them pretty close together....when you sew that first two rows, try to keep the strips untangled, so you dont haave any problems making those first two turns......
