Just wondering if any of you have used that (sorry don't know what it's called) special fabric you can buy to print a picture on from your computer? Was it easy to use and what did you think of it? I want to make my friend a sort of memory quilt with kitties on it. I found a really cute applique with a kitty and two hearts and was planning on using that special fabric paper to make two blocks with pictures of the two cats she lost this past year due to them being ill. Just wanted to get some feed back :)

This is the kitty applique I found

I haven's used it, but I've seen lots of memory quilts with pictures on them here, so it must work well, although I have heard that they will fade if washed to often, so they should be used as a wall hanging.

I have not used the paper, but have used Bubble Jet Set. I printed out pictures of our kids onto fabric and made my DH a quilt. It works very well if you are very careful about following the directions exactly (ask me how I know that). We have not tried to wash it, but it is on the back of our couch and has gotten leaned on for about five years and has not faded. I also printed out a picture of my boss on fabric and used the Bubble Jet Set. I then fused this onto a t-shirt with Steam-a-Seam (it was his birthday, what can I say!). I know I washed that shirt at least once and it has not faded. You can also take a picture to a print shop that does this and get it printed out as for heat-setting onto t-shirts and they will print it out on fabric.

I've used it many times for memory quilts. I didn't have any trouble at all. Just follow the directions on the package.

i have used a few different ones; there are a couple that seem to be readily available. the june taylor brand i was disappointed with for a few different reasons. cost was a biggy. i will have to try to find the others i don't remember the 'brand names' but there is one that comes with 3 sheets in the package...and there is a different one that has 10 sheets...that is the one i like...it runs through the printer just fine...just follow the instuctions on the package for heat setting.

I have used the expensive one ($4 a sheet), it's muslin attached to a paper backing. I loved it. The pictures were so clear and so detailed. They were easy to use if you follow the clearly written directions. If I had the money I'd make one a month, just for me. My kids on one, my grandkids on one, my great grands on one, you get the idea.

Looked it up, it's EQ Printable Fabric sheets. Wonderful stuff!

I made my dad a family tree wall hanging using it. I loved it. So easy and the pics turned out great.
