Have you used this foot on your machine?

I have a couching foot for my sewing machine. Any ideas on where or when to use it?

You would use it to secure cord/yarn in a decorative design.

Here is a video on how to use it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LD98zFAl2M

I could see using this for a Celtic design instead of raw edge or turned applique.

    Here's a recent post:
    couching patterns
Here are some Ipad cases I made for my friends for Christmas. These work up really quickly, I couched different threads, yarns and cords then added some decorative machine stitches. If I hadn't waited until the last minute, I would have added beads.

I haven't used mine lately; but I used it for securing cord in heirloom dresses for my granddaughter and in making other heirloom items. I enjoyed using the foot.
