I have a yard of this fabric, there's 16 squares, which includes two repeats of each. The inside square measures 8 3/4" x 9".

I'd love to do a wallhanging of about 30" x 30", for in my living room - fun, folksy, homey.... But have no mind left to even think of anything! lol!!

I've tried searching on here, but didn't really find anything using these types/sizes of panels.

Thanks for any ideas you can give!
    Diana :)

How adorable!!! Right away I didn't see a wall hanging but a quilt, with the panels spread around and mixed simple squares around them in those lovely colors. Perhaps 9P, D9P, and some pinwheels. Florals and geometrics would mix well with the panel design, so you would be really open to choices of fabrics. You could do a controlled scrappy sticking to colors in the panels.

I made a quilt with this panel. I saw it in a quilt shop and loved it.
You cut long triangles for the sides so the squares sit at an angle. Very cute.
I just switched to dialup so have not been able to post pictures.

Thanks Linda, the idea of pinwheels sound fun! I guess I would need a 9" pattern for them? Just realized I have no idea if I have other material to go with this! lol!!!

Rose Marie, I imagine it was really cute! That's why I just had to buy this, even though I had no idea how I would use it! lol!!

You cut out each block, then added the triangles? Do you remember how big the triangles were?

    I love that fabric!

How about a shadowbox or windowpane effect?

How about you send it to me and I'll show ya???

Seriously, I would take the panel pictures that you love the most and the number that will work within your size limits. Sash them with a snazzy color (or what ever pleases YOU) and add a border. I love to do hand quilting so that would be my choice but if you can FMQ, you could really make the cats "pop" out with your quilting.

Can't wait to see what you do!! :D

I used a kitty panel to make a special baby quilt last year--here is the link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-29313-1.htm

I will try to post a picture and see if I can find the pattern.
The pattern is for 10 3/4 in by 3 5/8 in rectangles cut from corner to corner at an angle then attach to the 10 in square.

    These must have been popular.
I made one foe Mom in the nursing home with simple sashing and banner for her door.

I would cut the panel and then apply an attic window border and sashing. I would look like the cats are sitting on the window sill trying to get in.
