My iron is shot and I can't find a heavy duty iron anywhere that doesn't have that extension on the back. I am looking for the old-fashioned kind, Proctor Silex plain black or similar iron. Does anyone know where one can be found or one that is close to it in design? I have an ironing board extension plate I just bought and it won't take the longer irons. The lighter irons just don't take out the wrinkles.

Thanks so much.

Check thrift shops, lots of older heavier irons there that still work great :D:D:D
