Default Help, any ideas on how to quilt this?

I am working on my latest scrappy quilt and am trying to decide the best way to quilt it. Don't know if I should just do an overall design or what. I have spent alot of time PPing this, there are 80 blocks so far, a total of 2000 pieces, so I really don't want to mess it up. Ideas anyone?

that's beautiful! the first thing I thought of was was quilting in spirals.... but that's just my opinion. I'm sure whatever you decide it will still be beautiful!

I like the suggestion of spirals or anything simple as an all-over design. JMHO I don't think FMG would look good, It's too busy and would take away from the pineapple design.

I see stitch-in-the-ditch.....but, I'm a glutton for punishment!

That is one gorgeous quilt. I love scrappy! I think circles or Baptist fan would look great, but without the right equipment they would be hard to do.

I also like the spiral idea but I think anything with curves looks great on anything with squares.

A stitch-in-the-ditch would really make each piece stand out, as if in relief, but that's a load of work. Still, it would be pretty. . . And the other's are right, anything with curves on anything so angular would be nice, so take your pick of curvy patterns, but not too tight, or too noticeable. You really want those pineapples to take center stage!

Beautiful quilt! Nicely done!

I would quilt with continuous curves over each pineapple block (gives you curves yet will let the pineapple shine) and then SID around each diamond shape that is formed where the pineapple blocks join up. Be sure to show us your quilt afterwards...it's beautiful

I would stitch in the ditch around each colored piece of fabric. I would then add a spiral or swirl to each center colored square. I would leave the corner colored triangles along to make them pop. Then within each white area between the blocks I would add feathers.

maybe a stitch in the ditch spiral? but I would let the pattern and fabric speak more than the quilting. what is the backing fabric going to be though that might be where you get the inspiration from.
