I have a baby lock sewing machine that i won last august in a quilt show, when it runs correctly it is a dream but when it does not it is painful. And of course the closes repair shop that will deal with the warranty is over 4 hours away. For whatever reason the machine will speed up for about 4 seconds and stop, speed up for 4 seconds and stop. It drives me crazy, does anyone have any suggestions.

Have attempted to contact customer service at Babyloc? Perhaps they will pay for shipping because you are still under warranty and 4 hours seems an unreasonable distance to make you drive. To me it doesn't sound like something you could fix on your own.

Mine just started doing that too, weird. I would never, never buy another BL When I take it in I'll let you know what they find. I won't be taking it in for several weeks.

I talked with the repair guy, and explained what was going on and i told him what you said and he agreed, maybe this is a common problem, he is going to order a mother board for me so i can get it fixed
