I am fairly new to this but have made a quilt once before. It had a stamped design on it though. I cant seem to find an already stamped quilt that I like so I thought about creating my own pattern. Where would I find a quilt to do it with? Would any quilt work? Where would I start? Im so confused!

Well, I am thinking you can buy a solid fabric to make blocks with and embroider on the size blocks you want and use the patterns you design. Then sew those together and then quilt after you finish. You don't have to find a quilt that is already . I have seen the embroider designs pre-stamped. I am thinking google it to find more pre-stamped quilts to embroider would be an idea too. There's bound to be more out there some where. Hope someone else can help more too. Welcome to the board.

Try JackDempsey.com they have tons of stamped embroidery for quilts. I have done several of them.

Yeah lisainmo. Now I have to go look too. My gd is coming soon and she wants to embroider now too. She already signed off so we can check here tomorrow. Good to see you.

Try Googling "images" for "stamped cross-stitch quilt kit" to see if you can find one you like. There are lots out there, but most are for baby quilts.

Herrschner's has quite a few stamped, cross-stitch quilt kits:

A word of caution about stamped cross stitch in general - I've found that quite often the stamping is not quite on grain and that bugs me!
