Ok so i have been searching and i seem to be cutting up short.
    1. i picked up some fat quarters from one of the LQS. The rough drawing im linking below.. i cannot seem to find the name of the pattern at all. it is that pattern i would like to use for the fat quarters. So does anyone happen to know the name of this pattern? and how many fat quarters would be possibly needed for a throw/lap size one?
I currently have 12 fat quarters and will be going back for more.. need be or not XD

Here are the colors i have so far

this is the example. This is what each block looks like just with the colors changing. Each block would be the same like this though.

I think the pattern is a Square in a Square, but I am not sure. Someone else will know though. Great colors BTW.

I thought so too but when i searched it was bringing up a somewhat similar but differnt pattern. Actually in searching i did find a pattern (yellow brick road) that could work with just 12 fat quarters (with others for borders. We shall see :D
And thank you! i love the colors and cant wait to see them turn into a quilt!

It is similiar to Boxed Squares http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-49268-1.htm , but with a much larger square. It is also similiar to a Happy Block http://www.maryquilts.com/happy-bloc...-heartstrings/ that I made when I was on a different forum.

Your fabrics are beautiful!! My favorite colors!!!

It might look pretty if you find a couple of fabrics that have both purple and green in them
