Default Help Help Help, what color thread to quilt a baby quilt

I am about ready to quilt my University of Illinois baby quilt. What color do you suggest? I have been told not to use monofiliment thread on baby quilts. That would be my first choice. Navy... light blue... MMMM any suggestions. Thanks I knew I could count on you ladies for help. I am just doing diagonal lines... I have blue painters tape already on quilt to help me with the quilting.

well usually we use beige or a gray if you don't want it to stand out too much. but if you quilt well, why not use white or blue or red?

I myself would use a light blue. If you really want you lines to stand out, you could do a navy or red. I think it would be nice either way.

I'd probably use a variegated red and blue.

Since it's a University of Illinois quilt, colors are navy and orange. If you're a good quilter, I'd see if you could find a navy/orange variegated. If you don't want the quilting to stand out, use a light blue or grey.
