A coworker was recently diagnosed with cancer. My team and I have designed and made a quilt top for her and now we are ready to quilt it. We are using my Brother 4000D embrodiery machine to do the quilt work. Because her treatments are starting on Monday we want to give the quilt to her Monday morning. I'm running out of time and need help.

I have spent the last 3 hours looking for and not finding an emobridery design of the cancer ribbon. I need the outline only for the quitling in a size of 2 inches by 4 inches. I can find hundreds of ribbons but none that I can use for quilting.

Please if you have one contact me by PM. If you know where I can find one to buy and download post the link or PM. I have to keep looking. I'll look back often and thank you.

Try http://www.oregonpatchworks.com They have alot of designers with many different designs. I'm sure you can find something there. Good luck.

You might get more response if you change the title of your post. This is a very busy board and most people don't have time to read every thread so if it's not specific may not take the time to open the thread to read it. Good luck in your search!

You might google cancer ribbons. Also, there are different colors for the different types of cancers.

I had always wanted to make one large quilt with a quilt block of a ribbon out of all the different colors to represent all the different cancers. Haven't done it yet, as I haven't had the time.

You could use a simple outline stitch that is sewn over a piece of fabric in the middle of a block. Then cut away up to the stitching. Or use the interfacing method and turn, then sew. Just a couple of ideas.

Good luck with your search for your quilt project. Keep us updated as you work your project.

Does your machine allow you to "skip" ahead on the designs - so that you could set the design to stitch out only the outline ?

Also try embroidery library

That was my first thought, skip to the outline.

You might also try looking for a redwork design which will work well for quilting.
