Default HELP--I need pattern suggestions

I have been asked to make 2 queen size coverlets for my daughter's lake house. Both beds are in the same room, but she doesn't want them to match, but to compliment each other. Color isn't the issue, but I would like some advice on patterns that are NOT complicated, but yet they will compliment each other, Any help or suggestions are so welcome. Thanks for any suggestions.

How about two log cabin quilts using different settings?

How about 2 different star quilts? One could be the Big Star quilt from Jenny at Missouri Star QuiltCo. The other could maybe be the Labyrinth pattern that looks like a big star.

How about picking a pattern and do the two in reverse colours.
Eg. white with red ........ then red with white?

I agree with the stars idea. There are many, many easy star patterns.

How about Warm Wishes and a Split Rail Fence? They have a lot of similarities and are very easy.

I don't have a suggestion but just want to say, lucky daughter! I'm sure she'll cherish whatever you decide to do.

I thought of log cabins too. Easy to do and so many different settings will make them different but complimentary.

I would do scrappy quilts. Good use of stash and variety in colors will make it easy to put them in any room ... Hugs
