the name of this block is quilter's puzzle i have been asked to make this quilt and she would buy it. she has been very nice to me and my family i would like to do thesis for her attached is a picture of this block i got it out of a 1988 calender . i don't know what else to say but help!!!

I'm not sure what the inside blocks are but the outside of it looks like log cabin connected.

It looks like the puzzle was appliqued onto the log cabin blocks. It is a very intriguing pattern :D:D:D

It looks like a variation of tumbling blocks in the middle, and, like Leota said, log cabin type strips around. Good luck!!!

I agree! with jljack. Tumbling blocks in the middle, Log cabin on the outside.

I think the centre sections is probably paper pieced - as in English paper piecing -hand done and then appliqued onto a background of 4 log cabin squares.

I would use graph paper to draw it up!

I actually have the original pattern. I had forgot about it. It is a Judy Mathieson never used.
