On a Scale of one to Ten how great is the thread at Connecting Threads? Seriously I have been having all sorts of troubles with thread, and I'm about at the end of my spool! My sewing machine hates threads that make a lot of lint and I hate thread that isn't COLORFAST!

We're talking about the Essential Thread Brand that you can buy at connecting threads website for $1.99 or $1.59 for a set.

Does it break often? Is it smooth and silky, does it spilt and fray from running through the needle? Is it perfect and you can't imagine buying anything else? TELL ME PLEASE!

Oh the trouble I had with the Guttermann is that it isn't colorfast.

I've never had any problems with Connecting Threads Essential Thread. Give them a try and double check your needle and make sure it's the right size. Good luck.

My machine is very old, and it wont take expensive threads, the only threads it likes is the wal-mart 3/1.00 thread.

Interesting how we all like something different. I'm sure my needle is the correct size as I've always bought what was recommended for my fabric and my thread and use that little slide test to be sure.

I have to clean the bottom of my machine out at least every half of a bobbin. Seeing as it was damaged in shipping I'm certain it has issues, but none of them can be fixed because the casting is bent. When my sewing machine dies it will be the end of quilting until my husband finds a job. So thanks but I'll just keep trying different threads until I find one that works all the time.

When your machine was damaged in shipping, did you file a claim and inform them it was damaged? If so, they should either pay for a new one, or pay to have that one fixed. You shouldn't have to pay for another one. I do hope your husband finds a job soon, I know this is a hard time.

Oh yes the shipping come did right by us, but it was an auction purchase so I can't get exactly the same thing at the store for the money they gave me (and the money went to groceries anyway).
